OCW (Orthodox Christian Women) Group visited our church.  On Monday, September 19th, The OCW made a tour of some of our Orthodox Churches in Metro Detroit. The last church to be visited was ours.  25 women (and men) came from various parishes.  Fr. Timothy greeted them at the door with a group picture.  Fr Michael and Matuska Jane gave a brief history of our parish.  Following the talk, everyone went to our hall for refreshments and coffee.

St. Michael the Archangel Orthodox Church on West Chicago in Redford, Michigan once again hosted the Archiglas singers of St. Petersburg, Russia on Saturday, December 3, 2005.  The concert was sung in the church and began at 7:00 p.m. and was open to the public.  It was well attended.  Following the concert, an "afterglow"
was hosted by the parish in the Cultural Center.  At the "Afterglow" singers sang several folk songs.  The next day, Sunday, December 4th the Archiglas singers sang the responses to the Divine Liturgy in Slavonic.  Rt. Rev. Michael Barna, Dean Emeritus
celebrated the Divine Liturgy with the petitions chanted in Church Slavonic.
Fr. Michael was assisted at the Divine Liturgy by the priest of the parish, The V. Rev. Archprest Timothy M. Barna.  Many members attending the Divine Liturgy commented on how much they enjoyed hearing the Divine Liturgy in Church Slavonic.
